Hi all, I am away from my M2 right now. I need to know where the sensor is cuz my speedo doesnt work. Is it in the speedo housing or down by the tranny?

-this guy is selling a speedo and i figured that if the sensor is in there , then it would be a good deal.

sensor lives on top of the gearbox, Ceptor -- buying the speedo will get you a spare speedo, but won't help fix the problem, if the problem is the sensor (as is likely the case) . . .

It's located on the right side, above the brake (draw a line up from the pedal). It drops more or less vertically into the case.

Check the fuses first, but it's probably the sensor - get the updated part, 74431-01B.
