The Discovery Times Channel (DTC or DTMS) has a program today with some great details about Chasespeed's home (the Navy's HSV-2 Swift ship). The ship has been declared one of the Seven Wonders of...Military Technology. For this week anyway.

It is on again at 6:00PM (Eastern Time), that's 1800 Eastern Time for you Chase!

Thanks for the heads up.

As for the Navy, my brother is stationed on the Dallas.

You know whats funny, alot of the film from that, was done in Hawaii, back in 04...guess it took a while for it to be chopped, and cleared..though, you can find out alot about this thing from the web now..

Lemme know how it looks...IF there are any flight deck shots, I would be the one in yellow...dont remember...

Anyway...

Oh, and Jack, I am 6 hours ahead EST,

Chase

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up on that. It's on the Discovery Times (DTMS) channel here.

Chase,

I was joking about the "Navy time" thing. But if I understand it and you're six hours away from EST that puts you in someplace like Scandanavia or Africa to the East or Australia to the West. Either one sounds like fun.

There was some film shot on the flight deck, I'll have to see it again and see if I can spot a yellow shirt.

The narrator was a PO2 Flores. I was trying to place where that was shot but could not figure it out. There were some coastline and islands that looked like coastal Maine.

Nope, we havent been off of maine. Actually what you saw was Hawaii. We did that during RIMPAC 04. Unless, some of it was shot during the Tsunami relief, or Katrina relief.

Anyway, hope it was interesting veiwing...as you can imagine, even being almost 3 years old, we are still VERY high visability
