Nice one Mike! Is that a resin toy that's available somewhere? I kind of like it! It would look neat on my shelf. |

I knew that pic was missing something, thanks. Brag, There's somewhat of a Wallace&Grommit resurgance going on and some toys are showing up in various places. I found that pic in an image search one day, think I was looking for either sidecars or Grommit. It does look like a plastic model though. I'll keep my eyes open locally, I've got a hobby shop gift certificate I have to somehow use up by the end of the year so I plan to be hitting a few places soon. If I find one I'll post the info on the site here or will ping you with it. Maybe if someone locally is down near Greenfield they could maybe check at Greenfield News & Hobby, if anyone has it locally they would. |

No doubt your two S2s are great machines. They might even be worth what you paid for them. Good luck with that. my S2 THUNDERBOLTS are worth it...for all the right reasons..they are not "just machines"...something i fear you will never understand. your bike might be "just a machine"..make a work of art out yours...lets see 1) buy a frame 2)buy a tank and rear fender 3)strip apart "a machine" 4)paint parts (FLAMES IF YOU WANT TO BE TOUGH) 5)put parts together POOF!..WORK OF ART.. good to look at for a month or so... wasted...a real road machine} I have built and owned choppers...47 panhead..67 flatside shovel..they were parts i got from different people..both motors were basket cases..i didn't buy a 47 FL to strip to make a chopper..they were build..not parts from a book...very few choppers are being built..they are simply assembled..no heart..no soul..just a credit card and a book YOUR RIGHT..THESE ARE JUST MACHINES JT} (Message edited by jersey_thunder on November 21, 2005) |

I have a 1998 S1W Enforcer The Buell Motor Comapny has told me that they made 25 of them and they were considered "escort" vehicles but that is about all of the information they have provided so far. I am wondering if any of you Bad Webr's know the location of any of the other 24 Enforcers or have any knowledge of things such as offical photos, magazine articles etc. Any information is sincerely appreciated. What Buell Motor Co. has been able to provide is: 25 Enforcers Built Buell also made some (20) M2 Peacekeepers and S3 Defenders MAYBE SOMEBODY SAVED THEM AND MADE WORKS OF ART OUT OF THEM} |

You are right. I don't understand. I don't judge people for putting together a friggin' motorcycle if that is what they want to do. I am happy with my Uly the way it is. If I want to make art out of it, I reckon I can always smear elephant poop all over it and snap a picture. I would rather just ride it and leave the art to the artists. |

On this subject. Hmmmmmmm. I have saved an S1 from the chopper crowd. I put it back together over A year or so. But it was A track bike that I found, A fitting roll for such A bike. But I don`t mind if someone wants to chop their Buell. If they want to keep it. But look how many people are doing it just to sell them. But I must admit I am building a rigid bobber. But I bought an S1 motor from ebay. The guy I bought the motor from put an SS in his S1 for track duty. I had the motor sitting around for A couple of years, And just wanted to do something with it. I wouldn`t butcher A buell for A chopper ! The rest of my parts are from sportsters. Some of you wont want to see this but remember. I Still have 2 S1s in my garage. S1eric |

S1eric, WOW...YOUR A GOD...YOU BUILT A CHOPPER WITH OUT RAPEING/DESTROYING A S1 OR A S2? CAN'T BE...YOU MUST HAVE MADE A MISTAKE...IT CAN'T BE DONE.. ONE MUST DESTROY A RARE MACHINE TO BUILD SUCH A MACHINE!! JT |

Nope ! I`m A Buell nut in the worst way. Just wanted to do something with the motor I had hanging around. At least the bike I got the motor from is doing serious track duty. S1Eric |

LF: sorry I had to leave mid rant, I was doing some volinter work for UNCW's ageing class, On the P51 I did not say I would tell the owner he was [@#$%@#$%@] (insert your own profanity) stupid or an thing else, My opinion is My opinion. I WOULD decline to help with the destruction of the air craft because in my pissant narrow prick mind its a waste. same as a buell for a choppa, His plane I do not care beyond that. Ok Tony is a died in the wool Buell fan, Just like the guys that go to foot ball games in costumes and war paint COOL I like Atlanta I won't pay 60$ for a ticket or wear war paint, If you like Dallas Cool too. If Tony loves the Pats Cool, I am not the Great fan that Tony is I applaud him for his passion the comment about romper room Not cool. S1: nice work in progress, Is that a drive in speaker? interesting touch. No issues with the Choppa, built from parts here sad that an S1 may have been parted out. Looks like Eric made a nice start, the Important thing is that he has crafted the bike from parts, of various bikes and not from a kit Its a real chopper not a poser. COOL LF please dont smear elephant poo al over the uly, Please ride it as a member of this comunity, share your adventures, we are eagerly waiting, camo and a rifle rack might be cool though. One last thought EB did all of this for "fun" |

Yep thats an old drive inn speaker. Most of the parts came from swap meets. HD riders take A lot of good parts off of their bikes, Just to add bling. But again the motor came from an S1 racer that is STILL being raced. But now it runs an SS motor. No S1 was parted out. Bike is still running around on tracks, And sometimes on the street. S1Eric |

Question. You take a Road worthy Buell, and "chop" it into a drag racer, or track bike never to be used on the street again... What's the friggin' difference? Chopper/Dragster either way you're taking a Buell off the road. While I'm totally passionate about Buell motorcycles and I think the S-1 is the sexiest bike I ever made, They're still motorcycles people. Build whatever floats your boat! |

IN most cases racing mods can be reversed. CB: think about this issue most of the road bikes wind up getting minor performance changes (pipes, inlets, some times cams and head work) which direction is that going racing or chopping? Part of what got me to respond was the "romper room" comment. the other is that I agree with JT on the issue of Wanna Be bike builders buying kits trashing buells for 2nd rate choppas, I posted an ebay link to one that I have been seeing for months A guy buys the parts slaps the buell parts on it can't or wont finish it, and tries to sell it for 8G, look close at the pix, It aint no arlen ness sled there. Jt is dismayed about that issue I am in agreement with him, I also understand all of the economics behind this fad. If you want to chop your bike it's yours, If I decide to paint My X1 Pink and put tassels on it and hang some fuzzy dice from the bars Im glad you are ok with that, this is where a kit choppa falls in to me. Personaly I like my bike (X1) decked out in carbon fiber and billet, brushed finish on the alum, Mine has PM's and I am considering having them sand blasted and / or clear coated. the Nuke blue frame W black / CF suits me building a Chopper from disguarded or wreck parts some of which are builder fabed is cool CB trust me Oh I dont loose any sleep over it I admire JT's zeal, and I ain't impresssed with the heath kit choppas My $2.00 Opinions are like butt holes ............... |

Oldog, I apologize for your taking offence at my Romper Room comment. Like other opinionated folks in here, I have a tendency to call it like I see it. Colored all-capped text happens to remind me of the chatrooms from which I have had to ban my kids. Notice that the RR comment was directed at the appearance of the thread and not the person(s) behind it. If I wanted to insult someone, I would do it in person unless that person is bigger than me or the same size but more athletic. All bets are off if the person happens to be dead. (e.g. Timothy McVeigh is a baby-killing coward!) In case you have yet to notice, I don't take kindly to folks insulting other folks they don't even know. That includes calling them posers, wannabes, or whatever just because they have different tastes or values. Standing in line behind Joe Bike Builder buying oil line fittings for 30 minutes does not qualify that guy for poserdom in my book. |

Fair enough Your apology is accepted You are entitled to your views, I am good with that. I did not understand your context of the rr comments, please accept My apology as you find my poser comments some what abrasive, Ride Safe LowFlyer Oldog |
