I would think the best way to sync them up is to have a MIDI synth making the music and have a computer call the shots with the lights and the music.

All I can say is, "I'm damn glad he doesn't live across the street from me". But cool, way cool.

A plc could easily do that the music could have been added later, used salvage plcs are dirt cheap, as a PLC programmer & application specialist that would have been fun ..

Happy holidy OlDog

It is indeed Trans Siberian Orchestra. The group blends orchestra with modern hard rock. They are absolutely amazing! I am sure many of you have heard their rendition of Carol Of The Bells titled Christmas Eve Sarajeva 12/24 since it is their most popular tune. On the off season most of the members play (or used to) in a group called Savatage which is/was quite popular in Europe.
I gave up guitar playing because of them. I was so enthralled by their music that I ended up playing it exclusively year round!
Check them out you will be hooked!!

Here's the low down on this amazing display.
(From some web site)
The guys name is Carson Williams from Mason Ohio He used 88 light-o-rama channels to control the 16,000 lights.
The tune is Wizards In winter by "Trans-Siberian Orchestra".

He runs the whole thing off a 40 amp service.
He has a short range FM transmitter so you can hear it in your car and he doesn't have to tick off the neighbors.

Google his name and you'll find a bunch of site with info.
I found one with a guy that lives near the display.

Amazing stuff..

Brad
