Well...New Guy to this board...Thought I would first share my reason for riding a Buell...I have been riding a big twin for the last 10 years or so,current ride is a Road King...I have always wanted to build a custom chopper,so last winter I did and loved every aspect of it,but the cost!...I started looking around for something more affordable for my next project and came across Two Bit Choppers website showcasing the Redneck Engineering Mutant Buells "WOW"...I had to build one!!! So I started looking for my donor bike...after about a month I made an offer on a 1999 M2,and the guy sold it to me....After telling him my plans for the bike,he asked, have You ever ridden a Buell?...I just laughed and said NO,and don't plan on it,I AM GOING TO BUILD A MUTANT CHOPPER !!! Well I did ride that bike, and now I'm hooked...I didn't know that I could have so much fun with my clothes on!!!...I even bought another a 2000 M2 this week that has had more upgrades than the first...So I am doing my part now to save the Buells from Mutilation...unless it's wrecked. Later, cat |

Why doesn't the Motor Company just build a radical Sportster for these Easy Rider wannabes so they'll leave our Buells unmolested? |

Why doesn't the Motor Company just build a radical Sportster for these Easy Rider wannabes so they'll leave our Buells unmolested? Becuase it woudl kill their aftermarket supporters.. with HD, its all about the money....or so it appears to me...but, that MY opinion Chase} |

i love my buells more than anything, but i also like the redneck engineering mutant buell kit. the reason people are using buells is to get the choppers titled. theres nothing wrong with buying a wrecked buell and using the motor to put in a chopper. you can buy the forks and everything else from the dealer if they arent damaged. just my opinion. but i like both. |

Don't worry, I'm with ya. If you can breath life into a wrecked Buell, why not. I like em. |

If you can breath life into a wrecked Buell... DEFINE WRECKED? it seems most of them are buying complete road worthy buells...S2's a rare machine in being torn apart for a throw away pogo stick...and they are throw away. i like mutants..but at the cost of a S2/S1..NO WAY JT} |

Built on a Paughco frame and powered by an ultra-reliable 1202cc EVO drive train, with a 5 speed transmission and a smooth running belt drive, The motorcycle was based on an ultra-rare 1995 Buell Thunderbolt S-2 with less than 3,000 original, pampered miles when acquired as the donor for this project. I'M SO GLAD HE PUT THE POOR "WRECKED" S2 OUT OF IT'S MISSERY. JT |
