That is one very clean 39yo. You did a restoration on it? Or has it just been kept up that good?

thnx, guys. can't believe she'll be 40 ( ! ) next year. like a dream come true for me. i've loved vintage Porsches and VWs since I was a kid. restored a '73 Beetle (slammed and painted Ford Grabber Blue!) in high-school but...

here's the story... Euro model 912, 5-guage KPH dash and all... a French friend of mine bought it off another French guy a ways back... I acquired her ~3 years ago and began immediate care since my friend was moving back to Europe and couldn't bring her over the pond. Lucky me!

The car was fully restored in '95 but not kept up very well since then. She was a daily driver. Over the past 3 years I have been bringing her back into action, it's unreal how well she is doing in the New England weather. I need to repair a rust hole in the floor but other than that she is TIGHT! Lots of maintenance items to tend to this winter but its all great fun for me. I'll post a pic of the engine bay for those interested. I'm one proud Papa. She's the other air/oil-cooled woman in my life.

; )

I'm a HUGE 911 fan. They are phenomenal cars. It's great to see the older ones like yours kept up so nicely. One day I'll have the room for a 1979 930...one day.
