OK, here the deal.
I have put together a promotion for the winter months for XB12X bikes.

Here goes,
Buy the bike between Dec 1 2005 and Jan 31st 2006.
Paperwork must be done, bike must be paid for by Jan 31st 2006.
I will store the bike for free until May 4th 2006.
They will be kept in our heated warehouse, put in the battery tender rotation and be covered up.

Be in Appleton Thursday May 4th to pick up the bike. I can set up the suspension and go thru the bike with you.

Thursday night, get together for dinner.

Friday May 5th, ride to East Troy to see the factory. I have not set up the details with the factory yet. I'm sure it will be good.
Lunch at Gus' Drive In
Ride back to Appleton

Sat May 6th
Ride to Iron Mountain MI in the U.P.
This is only about a 3-4 hours ride so it will leave us plenty of time to do some exploring on Sat afternoon. There are plenty of roads that will be perfect for the ULY. I have a local that is willing to be tourguide for us while we are there! They even have coffee for Kandie and Bobbie.
Dinner together Sat night in Iron Mountain

Sunday May 7th
Sleep in, go have coffee or come out and ride. Your choice.
At 2pm we will head back to Appleton
or you can head home from the UP depending on where you are headed.

Details so far,
We will have a chase trailer to haul gear and some repair parts just in case. The U.P. is a very scenic area with waterfalls and even mountains? I've never been there so it will be an adventure for me too.

What's the deal as far as the $$?
Last years Buy,Fly and Ride program was a huge hit but it was a total pain to keep everything straight as far as who was flying, driving, how many night of hotel and so on.
This year I have decided to make it easier and fair to everyone.

2006 XB12X 11495.00
Frt 240.00
setup no charge
Program discount -500.00
Cost of the bike 11235.00

Plus, you get a 100.00 gift certificate to the dealership.
15% off all your parts and gear at time of purchase and for the following year.
If you buy luggage for the bike you will get the 15% off and I'll throw in the installation for free!
Factory warranty thru March 31st 2008, so you will not lose much warranty time while the bike is in storage here.
I'll get some t-shirts made for everyone who participates in the promotion.

You will be responsible for your own expenses getting to, staying in Appleton and Iron Mountain and getting home. I will arrange a group deal with the motels in both towns.

I want to take at least 10 new Ulys to the U.P.

OK, who's going to be first?

Small details to be worked out as they come up.

Promotion #2

OK, here's promotion number 2
For those of you that do not want a ULY I have put together a similar deal for you.

Same dates for purchase and paperwork done.

Different date for you to pick your bike up.

You come and get yours and then we go to HOMECOMING.
So I think your date of pick up would be Weds May 31st as the rally should be starting on the 1st.
Of course we don't know for sure since BRAG can't ever release details til the VERY LAST MINUTE! But I am pretty sure those will be the dates.

Here's the deal.
Same discount,500.00
Instead of the gift certificate we will pay for your Homecoming registration!
Valid on all new Buells 03,04,05,06

Maybe a better deal if it's a 05 bike, I just bought some more inventory from dealers giving up on Buell and am working a deal to buy 5 more from another dealer.

Who's interested in a Lightning,Lightning Long, a City X or a Firebolt?

I'll have to wait 'til I get home.
This one is way too small for Jamie to work with.
But yeah, I'll get one together for ya.
I owe ya anyway since the Firebolt wheelie I promised died with my old puter.
Built myself a dandy new puter last week and I'm finally up and running.
I'm workin' on promo #2 as we speak type.

Dave,

Will you do any kind of a deal for the 3hour Ice Race. I really want to try one out on the ice with studded tires.

On a more serious note, you guys will love the U.P. Well worth the deal Dave, always thinking, aren't you!

But again, if we had one for the ice racing season we would get some great pics riding wheelies on the ice!!!! You must remember you are in Wisconsin now...

I have race rain tires I have saved for just such a deal!

I am serious now, but I do not want to hijack your Uly UP deal.

Talk to Terry... (just do not take out of our roadracing budget!)

Daves,

I would be happy to buy the tires for such an event. Hopefully my Uly will be back from CA for the event in May. Not really a new ULY but new to me.

Dave:

If you know when Homecoming is. . . please let the folks at Buell know.

: )

It looks like there may be a major Buell event in New York City the week prior to the Road America races, culminating with a cross country ride to Road America. But, this is all based on the assumption that 1) Buell HAS a Homecoming in 2006 AND 2) it is the Road America weekend.

Don't forget me, I got the friends UP there also!

I am smack dab in the middle of the Iron Mountain Motorcoach Range War. I am going to write an epic novel about this once all the shooting stops.

Da U.P. - Ya Dere, Hey!

Da Yoopers:
http://www.dayoopers.com/

Lyrics to Da Yoopers most popular tune:
Hey there goes one (BANG!) Hey you shot my cow!
It's the second week of deer camp
I got a swollen head
I'm lying with the dustballs
Underneath the bed
An icy breeze is blowing
Into the tongue and groove
My pants are frozen to the floor
And I'm too sick to move
I didn't drink so many
Just durty (thirty) cans of beer
It musta been that last shot
That put me under here

REFRAIN
It's the second week of deer camp
And all the guys are here
We drink play cards and shoot the bull
But never shoot no deer
The only time we leave the camp
Is when we go for beer
The second week of deer camp
Is the greatest time of year

I remember playing poker
That weasel musta won
He's wearing my new swampers
And sleeping with my gun
He's snoring like a chainsaw
The camp smells like a dump
Someone's dirty underwear
Is hanging on the pump
Mickey's in the woodbox
Weener's on the stove
His flannel shirt is smoking (sniff)
I wonder if he knows (YEOW!)

REFRAIN

Beadle's crawling through the door
I think he got frostbite
He passed out in the outhouse
And he's been there since last night
Goofus stumbled through the door
He says he got a buck
He was coming from the wayside
And hit it with his truck
Musty cracked a beer and said
Let's celebrate
Goofus caught the first buck
Since 1968

REFRAIN
fade while repeating refrain
