..So I'm thinking the weekend of the 22nd-23rd, meeting at perkins, heading over to cornwall,(218) then back over to the palisades/bear mtn. pkwy, over the bridge then (good roads, johhnylunchbox?) down to sleepy hollow, a bite at the Horseman Tavern in Sleepy Hollow, then ...? Which day's better for all y'all? |

sounds like a nice ride. i'm in. hammer, i spoke to the dude with the old two stroke and he's stoked to go ridin (told him he's got to bring the rz350 this time). he's very interested to see your quarter million mile bike tramp. i think you two may get along great, the guy seems to have a long interesting history with bikes. i actually met him 10 years ago when he shot out of the woods on a 50cc two stroke dual purpose bike(no trail to be seen and it was about midnight) and landed on rt6 by the lookout at bear mtn with a deer in the headlights look. interesting lad. didn't see him again till this summer and he remembered the exact problem my buddies bike was having 10 years ago, coolwierd! |

I'm in. I'll start looking at some maps and work it in to your itinerary. Would you want to do my side of the river before or after lunch? Twisty two laners is ok with everbody right? I just hope that the roads are all clear from the monsoon debris we've been having. Come on come all. |

They'll be clear-sounds like a rider or two from new england will find this coming weekend easier- he*l- I'm down for both. regardless of what ol' nachtflogger says, my S2's only got 214,000 on it, not a quarter o' a million. was out at a club bar Thurs., and some poor fool wouldn't leave the S2 alone outside, was crowing to the riders pulling up that 'mad max himself' was inside, with a million miles on his buell.... that roaring down 207 thurs. night, that was some of us...big eric in from hong kong, just left him tonight at the barnsider- flies back at sunrise, and a dear brother who just became an independent rider after decades... headless horseman run sounds kicka*s.... |

Nothing is jumping out at me in terms of good roads on the way to Sleepy Hollow. I was thinking of a loop after lunch in Sleepy Hollow that would take us through some nice roads in Putnam County (301, 9D, some back roads...) and launch us over the Newburgh Beacon Bridge with a final run down 9W back to Bear Mtn. We could even stop in Newburgh for a soda pop or sumfin. What do you think? My wife and I will be riding "relaxed" so anybody who's not Valentino Rossi can hang with us. |

I know a couple of sweet crack houses we could check out on the way through the burgh. After that we can test our lean angles as we're dodging bullets and all the other undesireable animals that live there. Or we could stop at the waterfront and relax for a bit.....your choice but remember each ride should be an adventure |

I got the heasds-up to fly in for the ride from my wife, what I'm wondering is, if there is somebody in the area where I could borrow a scoot, preferably a V-Twin Sportbike, or American made product. Please let me know. If I can fly into Massatushious and follow Seth out or fly into Rhode Island with Mr. DucXL, or what have you, I just want to meet some Badwebbers/ATC'ers. I ain't to proud to beg! |

RAIN OR SHINE We are, after all, badweatherbikers and, yes- there will be a less-sport oriented group, taking it easy and enjoying the leaves... this is a totally ad hoc run, no major organizing, just a buncha folks getting together for a ride, no keynote speakers, condo previews, public address, endpoint dinner, wannabe "tough-guy biker" type nonesuch, or anything. just a casual get-together of riders ladies, gentlemen...while it's a Buell-oriented (and Hudson Valley ATC associated) run, i can guarantee the particpation of sino-scoots, limey-iron, and maybe one or two big twinges.... rain is in the forecast, but my own druidic forecasting senses say otherwise.... |

Think some of the guys here need a time to meet up at Perkins. Im figuring somewhere around 9 or so someone chime in here so people can get their arrangements made. |
