I've got a race bike with an after market tail section. It doesn't use a regular seat, but rather just a piece of padding about 1/2" thick that's glued to the tail section. Problem is mine needs to be replaced but I can't seem to find where to get it. Anyone have any ideas!!??
Thanks.

How about some refrigeration foam insulation? Its available in flat sheet sheets in different thicknesses. Or the gardening knee pads that have a smooth finish?

Some of the SV racers have mentioned using seat foam for kayaks. Supposedly not too expensive.

Try Upholstery fabric and foam shop. You want highest density stuff. Foam carpet pad is another possibility. 3M spray glue for mounting. You can also use it to put a little vinyl on top, if fancy looks aren't a problem, otherwise let the pros make you one.

Forgot to mention you can cut the stuff to fit fairly well with an electric carving knife.

i've seen the roll up sleeping mats sold @ outdoor supply stores used. it tends to be of a higher density than the upholstery foam and it also is usually closed cell so yer bum stays drier.
