I'm even getting critical of Yoshi's in Jack London Square! I've had it!

Where do you like to go? Describe your prejudices and how much money plays a part in your choice. In my book, if you have to check your wallet you need eat someplace else.

I'm allergic to seafood; and when I check my wallet, I can't even afford to eat at the Golden Arches.
But I know where to get the best Barbecue in Boston.

I like good catfish bait's nice neutral odor. I put a wad in each nostril whenever I'm going to be around lobster bait or decomposing corpses.

If the sushi is furry, as in dried, I'm out.

That's good! Only instead of hitting the jack pot, you just hit the pot!

I once found a buffet that had sushi, it was stuffed with a thin slice of cold hotdog. I guess you learn to improvise when you live where I do.

I'll eat it if I have to, but it's not on my list of enjoyable nights out. If it wasn't for eating with the girlfriends I've had, I'd have never tried it.

The rule for shellfish is for sushi too.
Never eat it in months that don't have an R in it.
May, June, July, August

Especially NOT in Atlanta. Atlanta has a serious problem with small restaurants using delivery companies that don't use fridgerated trucks to deliver food.
The cops can't do ANYTHING about it because it falls under the USDA jurisdiction.

I've seen a couple news stories where the police took the reporters out with them when they pulled trucks over. The cops were pretty ticked off that they couldn't do anything about the situation.

In Minnesota there are a bunch of pretty good Sushi joints. Fuji-YA and Sakura are the best in my opinion followed by Origami, Saji-Ya and Kikugawa. There are a couple three or four others but I can't remember their names or I haven't tried them. Just got back from Vegas and Shibuya in the MGM Grand was incredible and just as stunningly expensive. I've been to a couple in San Fransisco, the names escape me one was in the Castro district and was excellent, the other in the Japanese district and was only OK. Avoid sushi in Orlando, tried two different places years ago and was amazed by just how bad it was. It didn't make sense that a guy could get better sushi in a midwestern town than fifty or whatever miles from the ocean. I like sushi if you couldn't tell. Good food makes me happy.

I catch my own. Fresh Pacific Chinook salmon is good sushi. Quality of fish is temp. dependent.

Fish are stunned in the water, cleaned, (gutted and gilled) and in ice in less than 1/2 hour.

What happens after they're delivered is beyond my control.

I'll send Blake a pic of a delivery I made this summer, in Charleston, OR. Maybe he'll post it up for your viewing.

I go to a place in Glendale (Ca) called Sushi on Brand - as it's on Brand Boulevard. Actually fairly close to the HD / Buell dealership if anyone's ever over that way.

Prices there are in the middle of the decent sushi range for this locale.
