This was an email sent to me. It was one of those dreaded chain letters, but I openned it anyway and this the info it contained - Interesting...if true (and it may just be).

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

29 have been accused of spousal abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

19 have been accused of writing bad checks

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

3 have done time for assault

71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

21 are currently defendants in lawsuits

84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?................Give up yet?

I thought it was the NBA.

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group of Idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

No, it's friggen sad, scary, and many other things rolled up in a big sticky ball.

At the risk of me turning this into a political thread, attrition is just not sufficient here. There are so many in our congress that are so out of touch with reality, let alone us the constituents. A lot of it stems from age - their a bunch of old farts under the surface. Hanging on to those positions till death do them part. There's no way for me to spend any amount of time thinking about it w/o setting into a depresion.

Ok, time for me to end it. "HITLER!" : D There, *I* said it. It's over, you can go home now...

There must be some overlap there. Gotta be a few with one or more mis-conducts. Come on its congress.
