We took in a stray earlier this week, but cannot keep him.
Our allergies are taking a toll

"Buster" is male, about a year or less, and is an absolute gentleman.
He is very friendly, and ready to bond with someone - he'll actually
stay in your lap and fall asleep if you can resist petting and keeping
him awake...

This guy deserves the protection of a house and family. He knows
what a litterbox is and uses it. He needs to be nuetered but is otherwise
very healthy in appearance. No ear mites. He's been bathed and has a
new flea/tick collar just in case.

We have a no-kill shelter nearby, but really do not want to drop him
off there because they already have a bazillion cats over & it will take
a long time for him to find a good home if ever...

I will deliver him within a reasonable driving distance and provide a
litter box and a new bag of food for your kindness.

Brad,
I could definitely give the little guy a home. Do you know if he gets along with dogs though? I'm way out by the Mississippi, but will be in the Chicago area next Sunday. I'll talk it over with my house mates and get back to ya.

He's a good looking cat!

I live ON the Mississippi, the east side. East Dubuque, IL. WI is a mile away, IA is a (wet) half mile away.

I bet Mocha and Buster would get along.

Did you know you can have the cat neutered for a very small fee by taking him to the local Humane Society. They will give you a certificate to have him fixed at a discounted rate with a local vet. Just tell them he is a stray and you would be willing to care for him if he were fixed.

I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. They all get along pretty well. As long as they can all boss me around they are happy.

It's not an option in this case for me.
My wife graciously allows me one cat.
Buster is one too many...

Will PM my phone number & well finish arrangements.

Thanks on his behalf.

Good for you guys. Not really a cat guy, but we took in a stray 9 months ago and it's been really cool, a lot easier than I thought it would be. Cats are pretty interesting and it's been a riot ever since we adopted ours.

Good for all you guys! I adopted the neighbors cat when she was forced to live outside because of her long hair--you know, that shedding thing. She also was in self-defense mode because their two young boys were a bit too aggressive towards her.

The neighbors across the alley were moving to Chicago and going to have to pay $100/month extra pet deposit. I offered to take Alexander and we are great pals now.

My wife had two cats when we met and now they're here also.

After the initial adjustment period, all is quite well thankfully. No bad habits. They're getting along as well as can be expected. Lots of love and catnip made the transition actually amusing!

When I get up in the morning there's a chorus from the pride demanding fresh meat. And when I get home from work they all greet me at the door and head straight for their 'spots' and wait patiently for their bites of food!

I've always had at least cats and dogs. No time for a pooch just now so the cats have dominion. Tons of personality, nothing like a good purrpurr.

Turns out one of my roommates is allergic to cats, so it's a no-go on Buster. I'm bummed, could have given him a great home, but it would be pretty tough to hide a cat in the house...

Buster,
I hope you find a good home!

Alex-
That's all you need, 2 good looking roomates, wild dogs and a cat. How much excitement can you handle?

Alex, maybe you could get rid of the roommate. You said they were messy. Buster needs a home and Mocha needs a buddy!
