Well its up and riding, doesn't mean I am. I still need to finish up the dash and some more cosmetic works, but it runs good, tracks straight. |

hmmm...details, let's see, Headlight and Flyscreen from Black Joe, front end courtesy ebay and a XB9R someone slid into a curb and busted the swing arm off of, Primary cover courtesy the same parts pile...Dago supplied me with his spare top triple at a reasonable price...Badweb has been alot of support on the moral front and this guy named Cecil keeps pi$$ing in my cheerios making me want to prove that Buells may take a beatin' but they keep on kicking that is a joke folks its called tongue in cheek humour for those that think I am picking a fight pics will have to wait til I get it a bit more finished, but after all the hard work, I just really wanted to take it out for a spin to see if it was all worth it...it was...and maybe I can sneak it over to the local dealer that is having a Chrome weekend and get a free dyno run in... |

Yes I know the headlamp is not straight, it was put in to get everything fitted, then straightened later. Left side looks great...the right side still needs to be finished. I was hoping to sneak it over to Arrowhead for a FREE dyno run, but I think I need a TPS reset, or I am not certain. Once it warms up its stumbles and dies off throttle but the idle is still above 1000, close to 1100 where it normally is. Oh well, I have time to diagnose it. Still need to make a real dash panel for it. |

Yeah well looks can be decieving...I have yet to get a clearance from the doc to ride, and after the short trip around the block, my arm could maybe take another mile or two before I would have to stop. But thanks for the compliment Rocket |

Mike, Looks very nice. Thanks for all the photos. After you get back in the saddle, you might want to take a look at the Azonic CR low bars. A lot of Lightning guys like Glitch, Odie, and others on bad web have switched to them, and like them. They are a bit lower and more forward, but not too extreme. Only $35 from Cycle Gear. Made out of aluminum, so they are a bit lighter and seem to vibrate less. Hope you get back on the road real soon. |
