Interesting opportunity to expose NoCalNOC and our Nortons
to a local group of motorcycle enthusiasts.

The NoCalNOC club has been invited to American Sportbike Night
Monday evening, November 7th as the guests of honor. They
are declaring their November get together as British Bike Night.

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/americansportbikenight/

This is the primary northern California Buell owners group, we meet
first monday every month at Straw Hat Pizza in south San Leandro,
located just off 880 on Washington Blvd, the next exit north after
the 238 split.

Every month has a different theme, not necessarily Buells...we've
had Honda, Ducati, all-make singles, Bonneville racers, dirt track,
hill climb, vintage, etc. everybody (and guests) bringing an example
of the theme bike if possible. Everyone is welcome whether or
not they ride or rode a motorcycle.

It's not a formal club kind of meeting, just 30-50 motorcycle enthusiasts
meeting and gabbing about bikes. Meetings start at 7p, people gather
about 6-6:30 and oogle bikes in the lot. Generally a video presentation
(there's audio gear and a big screen available) or guest speaker or
two yaks on topic while everybody eats, afterwards a nice raffle of
donated items and then an adjournment to the p'lot for more
schmoozing around the motorcycles. Everybody usually splits by
8:45 or 9:00 pm.

Hopefully Lorin and/or one of you other Norton gurus could do
presentations on the club and the Norton mystique.

Rex Chaney and Michael (Woz) Wozniak, two of the group founders
are VERY enthusiastic about the idea. According to Rex plans are already
in motion.

James Banke (Banke Performance) is going to bring up some of his
track and street Triumphs. James builds custom suspension suspension
components, lace wheels, etc. for Nortons as well as other bikes.
Woz is going to contact the new triumph dealer as it seems the area
is a little short on new Norton dealers.

If anybody here is on first name basis with suppliers like Rabers or
Fair Spares, please invite them. Just forward this email. If they'd care
to donate to the raffle they can contact either Rex...BuellV@aol.com
or Woz ...Michael@Wozniak.com to promote their wares.

There are lots of display tables available for merchandise show and tell.

respectfully submitted

Frederick
