I know many members are concerned about our " Brother Streetfighters" in New Orleans. This was posted on the Confederate web site. "Due to Hurricane Katrina, the New Orleans factory will be temporarily closed. Confederate Motor Company, however, remains. Communication continues via email, and phone lines will be back online shortly. Development of the Wraith is moving at a fever pitch as the completion draws near. To all who've written in, thank you. To those who remain trapped within the city, in their homes and on their roofs, our hearts and prayers go out to them." Let's hope that everything works out for them, they are dedicated and original motorcycle artists. |

Glad to hear Confederate weathered the storm! Interesting to read an actual ride report of the Wraith in the latest Robb Report Motorcycling magazine. The two big gripes the rider had (was either Cathcart or Brown, can't recall right now) were 1)Due to the fact that there is only a small tube where a conventional bike would have a gas tank there is nothing to grip your legs with when riding, and 2) that the saddle type seat was all wrong since you couldn't move side to side on it during transitions or in corners. Like I've said before, seeing a picture of a person actually riding a Wraith ruins it for me. A rider ruins the lines of the bike. |

Beauty is subjective, of course, but I think all the Confederates would look better with a tailsection/seat instead of the CF tractor seat. |

It's not a seat, it's an esthetic statement. |

If I had the $60 large to blow I'd own a hellcat. It is the nastiest, baddest motorcycle I've ever had the pleasure to throw a leg over. I forget the exact sales line but it was something like they don't want to be different they want to stand apart. That really appealed to me as a concept and I think they have achieved it. |

Holy crap, the hellcat is one awesome looking bike, I don't much like the lines on the wraith though. I saw that and aside from the seat That is what a bike *SHOULD* look like. Now if there was some way to integrate wind protection without ruining the look, so when going 90 my 140lb self doen't have to hang on for dear life without ruining that intensely feral, awesome look. -Relativistic Velocity |

You know, on second thought, after looking at pics and movies of the bike with a rider on it, I think the pegs should be a bit farther back in a slightly more crouched position. The bike seems too light and short, and the lines too sleek for the straight upright seating position. -Relativistic velocity |
