Hello, I am about to try this lithium battery on my 2009 Bell XB 12 SCG due to custom build and limited space.

Antigravity XPS SC-1

https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/antigravity-small-case-xps-sc-1-180ca-lithium-ion-battery

180 CA- Cranking Amps
6 Ah- Amp Hours

Do you think it will work OK? Any tips with using this stuff?

Will this battery charged at idle RPM? If so how long it will require to recover the battery after 1 engine start if motorcycle engine will stay at idle RPM?

I just purchased another Shorai after looking at Antigravity & others. The 180 CCA is a show stopper for me. The Shorai likely has a battery that fits, more CCA, and I think a 2 year or more warranty.

OK, today I tested the Antigravity XPS SC-1.

Good news - it is cabable to start Buell XB12

Bad news - it does not work with my Motogadget M-lock system. The M-lock relays just shuts power off when the starter is struggling with engine compression bump.

The battery is really struggling with compression bump. It can push over that bump up to a few seconds.

So to start the engine I had to bypass the M-lock relay.

The battery is really tiny and small

Too bad I can not test it on daily usage basis because I can not use motorcycle with bypassed relay.

Today I installed 8 cells Antigravity ag-801 with 240 CA. It cranks just awesome. And it is still pretty small battery, just twice bigger than ag-XPS.

Hey Tpehak, Did you have any problems with the Big Crank Battery you had in the bike before? And how is the new Xgravity Battery holding up now?

The Big Crank battery works OK. I did not have problems with it. I also had Duracell Ultra and some another brand batteries - they all work the same as Big Crank battery - very good and powerful for first year, and then going weaker. I changed AGM batteries each 1-2 years. But I believe there is no significantly better performing same size AGM battery than I used before.

The new 8 cell Antigravity Battery works OK too, it cranks about the same as Big Crank AGM battery with a little hesitation, it is just smaller and lighter. I did not use it with any accessories so I do not know how it works with extra equipment like heat gear, phone charger, etc.

If I would not need smaller size battery I would keep AGM battery, but I modify my motorcycle and I need smaller size battery to save space.
