Out of my 3 Buells .....I constantly have the same issue with 2 of them...... Maybe because they both have had some engine work/upgrades---I dunno. Anyway my STT was sitting in my enclosed trailer for a month. I started it to take a quick rip and it felt like it was only hitting on one cylinder..... Blew it out (rev'd the shit out of it like an ) it cleared up and ran fine. Today (about another month) it wouldn't start at all.
Same thing happens with my firebolt. Anything more than a few weeks and it wants to run like shit. Spit, cough and sputter until it blows out all the old shit..... Any help or suggestions on 1. Where to start with firing them up without having to rip into everything. 2. How the hell to keep it from happening. Any advice is greatly appreciated

First, if not kept on battery tenders, I would start there. Or/And, jump them with an outside 12v source on first start-up after sitting. You can use your car, just don't have the car running when jump starting. The car alternator can toast your voltage regulator if the car is running.
Second, empty your fuel tank(s) by whatever method works best for you. Pour the old fuel into your car. Fill the tank(s) with fresh fuel and the appropriate amount of fuel stabilizer. I like SeaFoam.
No real personal experience with fuel injector cleaners, but adding that and running a tank of stabilized fuel through the engines might cure the problem. If not, then other methods will be necessary.
Hope this helps, Dave
