After working over two bikes now with exhaust clamps that were way too tight, I have begun fitting a bit of a different part. I switched to HPS clamps that have a small spring tensioner on them. This keeps the clamp tight through thermal expansion cycles and provides an easy mechanism to get things snug but not overly tight. The part numbers I use are: SLTC-725 (2x for rear) SLTC-575 (1x for front) These are available on Amazon and not particularly expensive. |
