Having a little trouble finding the SM's routing of this hose after my top end rebuild. Might help if I knew exactly what it does and what it's called : ) Thanks in advance.

Looks like its an open end transmission breather hose headed for the left side of the bike. I simply found it lying on the belt so I must have pulled it as procedure but for the life of me I can't find anything on it or it's routing in the service manual.

Looks like the transmission breather alright. It doesn't connect to anything, it just goes uphill and vents.

If somebody else doesn't answer, I can go look at routing tonight.

Up hill... I thank you for that. It's dry inside so nothings been fluid and from the looks of the contact marks it traveled to the left side. If in fact a tranny breather the SM shows it ending up under the rear brake reservoir but that's not possible giving any routing path I can make with it's overall length. A single picture of the open end and nothing in the cabling, hose and electrical routing section of the SM. Going to have a look at the parts catalog for any clues today.
