Dove into my new (to me)06 ulley a couple weekends ago and found several issues. While cleaning the air filter base plate I poked around under it to find the lower throttle cable had the outer plastic sheathing worn off where it had laid on the valve cover exposing the coiled metal which was rusting. Probably a common but unseen issue. shot it with some Kroil for now but will replace it this winter. Oh did I mention this bike even with all its quirks makes me grin ear to ear every time I ride it. Gee, my old air head never did that! any way, if you have a sticky throttle and lubing the grip tube does`nt help, this may be the cause. }
