Hi Guys,

I'm in search of fuel pump o-rings and fuel filter for a 2006 Uly. I have called around the local HD dealers and they have nothing and can't tell me what cross over parts would work.

Does anyone know of part numbers for compatible filters and o-rings and where I can get them?

Many thanks.

Any luck? I now am in the same situation.

I'll pull them and run up to the auto parts store and see what I can find.

What I found so far from here was that they should be Viton (not Nitrle) to be fuel resistant, and that others think they can be found at hydraulic supply shops, and maybe autoparts stores.

I did ask the guy at the counter of Advance Auto yesterday, and he said they had some fuel pump o-rings, but they were smaller. So I'll run back up there first with one in hand and a ruler and see what they have.

Note to others... I pulled my pump proactively to check for fouled filter and chafed wires. My 2007 already had a nice braided plastic anti-chafe sleve in there, and the filter looked fine.

Also note you can't remove the fuel pump on a Uly without removing the bottom shock bolt from the swing arm. You can loosen it and drain it, but not remove it. The factory service manual glossed over this fact, and by the time you discover it you already pretty much committed to ruining the o-rings.

And when I put it back with the original o-rings (lubed first) it now leaks like a sieve. I shouldn't have touched it, and probably could have googled my way to the conclusion that I already didn't have to worry about chafing problems.

Oh well. Off to hunt viton o-rings.

The only thing that concerns me is the TH... is that total height? Is the thing not round?

Cheep,

The best place to get O-rings has always been the bearings wholesalers.

You will end up with a whole bag full of the exact O-ring that you want for just couple of bucks.

Ah, ok, 1/8 inches is .125 inches, which is about 3.175mm, which is pretty close to what I measured it at (and pretty close to round).

So they should be good!

Hey guys it's been a long time since I've been on this site. I can confirm the following gaskets worked for me. No leaks and went on correctly the first time. (I'm trying to get my bike running again after a couple of years.) I just installed the gaskets a few weeks ago.

website: www.oringsandmore.com

Viton Heat Resistant O-rings Size 151 Price for 5 pc
Stock #: 151V

I bought a bag of 5 for $5.25 plus $3.00+ shipping.

Great! Thanks Roro.

The ones I picked were a little thick. They worked but it was a lot more work than it should have been to get the fuel pump assembly up there, and it cracked one of the corners of the casting.

So these are probably the ones I actually needed...
