I am looking for a replacement windshield for my 06 Uly. I'm looking for a taller screen than the stock. I found a company "Cee Baileys" and they have one I like, they say it's fits a Lightning XB9 and XB12. Will that work on my XB12X? The one they have is 17" tall and 15.5 wide. The pic's they have of it looks kind of like my XB12X but it's hard to tell from the pic.

I had the factory "tall" windshield. I hated it, it moved the wind blast from my chest (where it was a non issue) to my throat and chin (where it drove me nuts).

I am 6'7" so that might be part of the problem. I have the tall factory one that was on it when I got the Uly used, but its scratched up. The height isn't bad but I get a lot of bugs on my shield. What I'm really looking for is one that at the top of the screen it flairs up. I ride with some BMW guys and they have factory ones that flair up and it helps deflect most bugs. That's why I was asking about the Cee Bailey shields that fit the XB9 & XB12 if they would work on my XB12X.

The Lightning windscreen/flyscreen won't work on the Uly, they are different sizes. Cee Baileys has a Uly specific version that bolts right on.

That said, I personally recommend using adjustable brackets like those from Palmer Products, gives you options to adjust height and angle for your comfort without needing to replace your screen.

Cee Baileys has discontinued the screen for the Uly. I talked with them, not very many sales.

The Palmer brackets look pretty good, thanks for the info.

Longhorn--
I have the stainless Palmer brackets on my Uly, and have the black powder-coated Madstad brackets on my Victory.
To my eye, the're equal in quality

Thanks for the Info. I like the Madstad and the price is a little better.
