37,000 on my XB9XS and it got loud recently. I like the sound. Can I run it this way without damaging anything?

Other than possibly damaging your ears, the engine will be safe for normal driving (this assumes it was your muffler that got louder and you don't have some major exhaust leak). It may not run as smoothly, either.
