Have noticed a slurring sound coming from inside the primary case somewhere a lil research came up with lose primary chain adjusted this to what i thought was good (1/4 inch as per manual) still making noise, checked oil levels which are fine and tightened primary chain a lil more and still making the noise, i cant really hear if the noise gets more with inceased revs but im pretty sure it is constant. I am abot to open the primary case but was wondering if anyone else was having the same issues and had fixed or solved. also local dealers mechanic said most likely lose primary chain also.

Cheers Elliott

Be sure you are adjusting the primary chain correctly- 1/4 inch is the minimum HOT adjustment, and includes the full motion of the chain when pushed up, then down. You should check it in several locations; the chain tends to have two tight spots.

3/8" to 1/2" is the range when the engine is cold.

Does the noise stay the same with the clutch pulled in?

FSM is "WRONG", set the adjustment to 3/4 inch play on the chain tight spot ...
