Author Message   Roaldnelson Posted on Thursday, April 09, 2015 - 10:58 am:        I'm refurbing a '99 X1 and was going to replace the rotors. These aren't bad but wanted to make sure it was a clean build so to speak. After looking at the prices for a pair of rotors (front and back) I'm beginning to wonder if I would be better off going to a newer brake system. A quick check at American Sport Bike shows about $350ish low end, $450ish high end with scalloped rotors. If you go with a different brake system, after rotors/calipers/pads, ect, ect, how much would be spent? How well would your current rotors do after some quality time with some Scotchbrite pads and scrub brushes?
