Just another dumb question ,- i have'nt read through all the posts - Have you checked your fuel pressure regulator??

I have not looked into the fuel system at all yet. When these issues all started that was the first thing I thought of but was not familiar with the bike enough to get into the pump. Now that I know how to drop the swing arm I think pulling the fuel pump will be my next rainy day project.

Any good additives to try before pulling the pump?

Have never heard of one of them going bad, Anyone else have any thoughts on the regulators screwing up on these pumps???

wouldn't hurt to go ahead and change the coil pack. If this dosn't fix your problem at least you have a spare. Add some Chevron Techron this does clean the throttle body and intake valve's, I have used a boroscope on my bike and can see that it works. Follow the instructions I used the concentrate.

I replaced the ignition coil with now change in performance. I did notice there was some discoloring to the old one, or maybe just a different color silicone..

Next up will be Chevron Techron. Then maybe I'll have to pull the fuel pump.

save the old coil as a spare,by the way my duralast TPS has been working fine and is made in germany like the OEM. {Keep the new one and the old one probably not the issue.IS the bike riding better as you have mention above or is it still missing every once in a while.

Doberdann1019, do you have the ability to datalog? If you can record a riding session where the problem happens, I'd be glad to take a look at the log. At the least, many suspects could be eliminated.

Gabby duck, it is still missing every once in a while. No real changes, and its very random. Sometimes it happens hot, sometimes cold, sometimes open loop, closed loop, low fuel, high fuel.. But only sometimes, its very inconsistent.

Readyxp, I can datalog. I have a bunch of data saved already, but will get a fresh session of 20 or 30 miles. I'd really appreciate you taking a look.

We've had some pretty bad weather so I haven't gotten a chance to log data yet. Hopefully tomorrow.

Just an update, after Readyxb looked at my logs he thought it was a ground issue. I polished all the grounds with a dremel and steel wire wheel. There was some corrosion on some of them. Now the bike runs great! No issues so far but its only been 30 miles. Once I get to 100 miles I will call it fixed.

Thanks again Readyxb, I can't thank you enough.
