I have a couple of questions about ecm's

the way I understand things about a stock ecm there are parameters or fields that you can change. If you have the right software, data cables, computer, to access the stock ecm. Is this right so far?

I was up on the EBR web site today looking for a race ecm, and after reading EBR's blurp about the EBR ecm's not being programmable, I thought I'd go with the one that was, So I fired off an email asking what the correct part number was, because the link is broken...an got this reply back saying that model of ecm is discontinued due software issues...

So my question is what am I getting with an EBR ecm vs my stock one and being able to change some parameters in various fields, where EBR states theirs is non programmable?

This is for a XB12X 2006 with a Buell race pipe, breather re-route, comfort kit, an K&N air filter.

Help me understand this please
Thanks Dave
