ok so i decided that since i needed to change the fluids that i would also powder coat the primary on my m2. after i removed it i decided i may as well complete the transition by doing the other side as well. upon taking the cam cover off the the gears were snug and came off as well. i wasnt planning on removing them but thats where i stand. i know how to line the cams back up when i install but as i was researching it appears that by the cams being removed caused unloading and possiblay cause other issues? i have the service manual but the section i read either didnt say anything about unloading or i didnt read it. just looking for feedback on what to look for that i possibly screwed up upon removing the cover and cam gearing. and any tips for the install. im also looking for a part number for the oil seal that goes under the timing cover as it isnt usable since i had to remove in order to powder coat it. thanks
