Hey guys this is my first post here. I bought a 2002 Buell Blast last year as my first bike and after riding it 2 days it broke down. It would start but then shut off after like 10 seconds. I took it to a mechanic and then couldnt pay for the repairs which was a blown head gasket. I left it there for a year and then last month I brought the bike home and changed the base and head gaskets, new spark plug, changed the oil, changed das boot and it still starts for about 20-30 seconds and shuts off. I checked the other posts and I dont know if its a carb problem but I dont want to open it since I know nothing about it and dont want to mess it up. Any help with this problem would be great especially since its getting so nice out.

Tough call. Best bet is to get a service manual, and follow the trouble shooting guide. Sounds carburetor related, but it's a tough call. Maybe needle sticking closed, allowing the bowl to empty? |
