ODD!

ETC Light wandered on for a second at the most then off never to return. The ride was fine all day prior to and after the light.

Put it SPY first thing when I got home to find out it was a ETC#44: BAS High Voltage Output.

Looked it up in the manual with no real clear indication why it may have done so. Checked the BAS, resistance was in limits and all looked fine.

Ideas??? Fluke???

There's a ball inside the BAS which can be bounced momentarily out of position by a sufficiently sharp bump in the road.

Fluke.

Good to know and thanks Harleyelf.

I will admit I leaned the rig pretty good as well... dragged the right peg actually.

That could have also done it.

Thanks.

Interesting. Most likely a fluke.

FWIW, the troubleshooting tree has a caution about ferrous metals being within 1/4 in of the sensor causing a fault code. Possibly something loose under the seat . . .

Hope this helps, Dave

Yeah.. I saw that as well Dave.

Funny though, the BAS mount is steel and so is the frame rail. Both are within a 1/4 to 1/2" of the actual sensor.
