My fuel pump is not making a strong sound like it once did. I have to flip the on off switch before it makes the stronger sound. When the fuel pump makes a week sound the bike wont start. Sometimes when it is running it cuts off. Just the other day I had the ignition switch in the locked position with the key out and the headlight and tail light would come on at random! I'm at a loss |

One other issue is the header pipe when it's dark out side where it comes off the jug gets red hot at idle. Also the bike will randomly cut off at idle. |

I'd swap the relays around in the relay cluster. One of those may be marginal and making intermittent contact. If situations improve by doing that, I'd start replacing relays. |

I'd be looking at the wire bundle around the steering head, a wire can break internally but not the insulation and be an intermittant connection. Also look under the seat before it goes to the ECM, if it is routed wrong a battery terminal can put a microscopic nick in the wire and short something out at random. |

And the fuel pump could be iffy (a completely separate issue) |

I think you should sell the bike to your brother on the cheap. |
