The shifting is rough and a bit clunky sounding and when I put it in neutral it is making some noise. Clunky shifting and noise are more likely to be due to loose primary chain. Just don't over-tighten! Find the tightest spot as you index around the full travel of the sprockets. Set tension there as per manual.
