I just aquired a ECMspy cable on Ebay to do some diagnosing on my Uly. I just thought I'd check out their website to download something to make it work a little better when my laptop got blocked by one of those fake FBI alerts. Being as street smart as I am with computers and the internet, I simply wiped the hard drive to get rid of it.
Anyone else have a similar problem with ECMspy?

What URL? Maybe you hit a fake one. It's also possible your system was compromised before then by something else.

The main site looks OK...

The virus apparently snuck itself in while I was installing the mono-runtime environment program. I'll try it again, only this time I'll make sure I'm off line first.
