New plugs, drain the float bowl of the carburetor, run the starter for a few seconds before you put the new plugs in with the plugs on their wires touching the heads.

If you have strong spark, and smell gas, it is ready to re-install the plugs and start it up. If not, report back to us and we'll try and think of something new to try.

Do you have to remove the carburator in order to drain the float bowl

Probably worth draining the gas from the tank as well, and replacing that. The gas tank lid seems the most likely place for water ingress.

Check the connections at the coil also.

On dirt bikes I can generally get to a carb bowl drain screw, can't remember from my M2 if it is accessible or not.

So I got bike running again without the choke on except when I pull on the throttle if I don't rev it up back and forth it will die out

Seafoam in the gas tank to purge the water.

Did you at least wire-brush the plugs? Check the plug wires are fully seated? Perform the check I recommended? Got spark?

Got a multi-meter? Got 12V at the coil with the key on?

There should be a drain screw at the bottom of the carburetor. You have to take the air cleaner backing plate off to see it clearly, but clever hands and offset screwdrivers have been known to remove the screw with the air cleaner in place.
