Hello from Cambodia. I've got an 09 XB12Ss and I'd like to find the recommended factory suspension settings. I understand that a card came with the bike with these recommendations, but I got mine secondhand. I've found settings on the web for nearly every other Buell, but not mine. Thanks in advance for your reply.

I still need to convert them, I will try and get them added to the list tonight:

Thanks for that. I did find a pic of a card online since making the post, but I'm a bit confused though. It shows preload adjustment measurements as "lines showing". When I adjust my fork preload I don't see any "lines showing". I read on another forum that the newer models have different preload adjustment, and that you simply counts turns in from minimum setting. Any advice, photos, links, or info will be much appreciated.

On some Buells, you count the lines as you adjust the preload adjuster, on some you count how many turns. According to my service manual, on your 09 SS it by counting the lines. Number 3 on the picture below:

Thanks for the reply, but mine aren't like that. No lines. The preload adjustment rotates inside the fork tube. It will turn about 14.75 turns.

I'm going to do more digging, it is possible the details in the manual are wrong.

Can you do me a favor and check the part number on your forks? It is at the bottom of each leg facing inward towards the wheel.

Yep, I did some more digging and made some phone calls, it turns out the 2009 service manual had misprinted it, the directions are for one of the older bikes. I was also sent this, which matches up what you found.

I'll have to update the typed suspension guide to match that now.
