i got an 02 buell blast i cleaned the carb and my bike still wont idol unless i am giving it gas can anyone help me?

It sounds like it's either your boot (the rubber coupling that runs from your carb to your intake manifold) or the actual intake manifold gasket.

I'd go ahead & replace both since they're easy to do (about an hour's worth of work) and it sounds like an intake leak.

You can test it by starting the bike and spraying some carb/brake cleaner at the spot where the intake manifold meets the engine block. If your bike RPMs shoot up as you spray, that gasket has gone bad

I've got an 06 blast with a little over 1600 miles on it. The previous owners let it sit for a year that I know of. I've replaced the coupler, pcv, auto enricher, engine oil, and spark plug. Cleaned the carb many times. Replaced the fuel. It still won't cold start. It'll backfire a little when cold. It will stall when cold also. Wont idle right. Revs high and then low. But when warmed up it seems fine. Please help I'm stumped.
