Author Message   Niklas Posted on Tuesday, November 06, 2012 - 08:29 am:        XB 1200 Lightning My headlights keep burn out they might last for a couple of hours. I have changed spark plug wires and plugs because i suspected that the wires (leaked) and sends its current into the headlights threw the wire harness that goes quite near the spark plug wires. I have checked the charging voltage and it is 14, something volts Please give me some ideas what might be wrong. Thanks Niklas   Froggy Posted on Tuesday, November 06, 2012 - 09:26 am:        Your voltage regulator is failing, it is not keeping the voltage near 14.2V, and when it spikes to 17+ volts, it blows your headlight bulbs.
