i just got a firebolt XB12R about a week ago and the prev owner didnt ride it much and it was dusty so i wanted to wash it....(iv washed my blast and my parents old bikes many times with no problems)

well i started it up to put her back in the garage and she started running rough and the engine light came on and the engine died along with my gauges and everything..

if i rock the bike i could get it to start but it still was doing the same thing

also reset the clock and trip

i then blew it off with a leaf blower and that didnt help.

right now i have it under the ceiling fan with a box fan blowing on the motor compartment

should i just let it air out or did i f*ck something up?

PLEASE HELP

Thanks

Huh. Well, letting it dry out won't make anything worse. You may have fouled some plugs as well, you can replace them or just ride the bike and get it up to temperature for a while (they will usually burn clean).

Yeah, let it dry out. And as Reepi said, you may have fouled a plug. As long as you didn't rinse the bike by dipping it in a swimming pool, a normal wash should not have messed anything up.

Water did get somewhere it shouldn't be, apparently. Not quite seated connector, or not quite sealed ign switch?
