i just got a 03 buell firebolt, used, the handlebars are turn to the left, and are locked, like a cars steering wheel lock, it also wont start, i turn it on and the guages go from one side to the other but i dont hear no fuel pump or anything, and theres a redlight on the guages i think its a oil light? cant see it because of the handle bars turned left, it wont start, i hear a clicking noise thats coming from the left box with the ignition and all boxes, theres only 3 in there, big ones, the noise is coming from there. is my feeling right on this bike, that it was wrecked and needs a total overhaul on the fron forks?

well i believe there is a handlebar lock and you should see a key hole on the side of the frame behind your headlight on the right side. The red light is check engine light basically and will turn on for a few seconds after you turn on the key. How is the clicking? repeatedly or just after the key is turned?

The noise is a relay clicking. Your battery is probably dead - not enough juice to turn the motor over. You should have fork lock on the frame down tube (at the front) - put your ignition key in there and see if you can unlock the forks. THen straighten out the bike to determine if anything is really bent

i just got home from work and i checked what both of you have said, and i checked for a extra keyhole and i dont see one anywhere less im looking in the wrong spot, as for the clicking its only when i press the start button, its a electric start, and the battery has juice, i even tried to jump it but nothing just a click, rapid for a few seconds and goes off, when i press the starter button, and thank you both for the replies im hopeing to get this bike back up to running again soonm also the check light stays on the whole time, and the bike wont even make a sound or anything when its in neutral if its one below or above neutral itll make that click sound when i press the starter button

Do you have an owners manual? It should tell you exactly where the fork lock is. How do you know your battery has "juice"? A meter can show good voltage but the battery can still be bad and not crank the motor.

Is there any outward sign that the bike has been wrecked? It is hard to tell from the picture
