I've recently acquired a 09 xb12Scg that has 09 Ss forks. The manual that came with the bike is for 07 and the fork preload adjusters are different on the 09. Does anyone know what the factory preload settings are for the 09 XB12Ss?

Also, are you sure they are SS forks? They won't fit the stock SCG trees, and the rear shock is too long to fit the shorter swingarm.

Thanks for the info Froggy. Yes the are 09 SS forks and the triple clamps were changed also. The owner of the SS wanted a Scg so the parts were traded and everybody was happy. The 07 manual gives the specs for a STT and they have the same type of preload adjusters and the same 5.63 inches travel. What I don’t know is if the spring rates are the same. I’m guessing the springs are the same so the preload settings would be the same but then that’s just a guess.
