Sent my 06 Buell to the mechanics 2 months ago and have still had trouble hearing what's going on. What I do know: Bike died when I pressed the starter switch and released before the engine was up to speed, causing a plume of smoke (unknown source). Engine would turn, but no electric or push start. Since then, they replaced something in the timing system and the bike started, but now, when it gets hot after a few miles, it dies.

I had ridden it around 10K miles a year, almost daily for 9 months commuting, etc.
