I have a few issues: I had to do some work on the front of the bike so I took apart the front.
Dash Issues:
(1) I put everything back together and now my high beam light on the dash comes on when I have the low beams on and off when the high beams are on.
(2) The mileage display wont come back on.
(3) When I flip the red run switch, the red light on the dash does not show up and I dont hear the engine winding up like it did before.

Engine Issue:

The engine will turn over but will not start. The plugs and plug wires are attached and all the wiring is attached correctly. And yes there is gas in the tank.

Any help or tips would be appreciated.

all above issues were solved. I had a bad ground connection and the fuel pump wasn't turning on. The bad ground was also causing the electrical issues within the dash.

Now that it is back together I am having an engine issue. The bike starts right up..but when it runs it sounds like there is something loose within one of the cylinders. I didn't touch the engine when taking this apart. It sounds like a knocking sound. Any ideas?

Lifter bleed. It should go away within ten or twenty gentle miles.
