i just bought a 2000 m2 with a k&n carbon fiber intake. the bike also has an unknown after market muffler that was cracked and re-welded by previous owner who said most of the packing was lost. anyways the bike runs decent but i checked the jet sizes which are 200 and 42 with the mixture screw still capped. does this sound right or should they be changed? |

Pilot should be a 45 with the uncapped screw out 2 1/2 turns to start. A 200 main is on the big size for a stock motor. Most run in the 185 - 195 range depending on the part of the country you are in. My M2 has a 190, my son's S2 is a 185, mine is a 190. |

I run a 200 main and 45, with the mix screw 2.5 turns out, stock motor with intake and exhaust upgrades. 4,500-5,200 feet here for my my general riding duties including the local canyons. The 42 (stock) slow jet is a little lean for most applications isn't it? |

My M2 was very happy with a supertrapp IDS and a 45 slow jet, and 195 main. I am 600 feet above sea level. |
