The lowest voltage reading I can get from the TPS is .7 volts. That's installed on the throttle body with the throttle plate fully closed and also removed from the throttle body and turned to the stop. The voltage rise is very linear and steady from .7 to the max voltage reading of 4.96. Should I be seeing a closed reading of less than .7 volts?

My X-1 service manual (page 4-45) says volts at closed throttle at idle should be in the 0.5-1.5 volts range. Between 3.9 and 4.9 volts at wide open throttle.

My '08 XB manual specifies voltages between 0.33 and 3.86 volts.

Since the voltage rise on yours is steady and linear, I would say your TPS is OK. Just remember to do a TPS reset when you install it. The ECU will make the necessary adjustment.
