I am trying to download ECMSPY and they say they support BUEGC but on the activation page to check the box on the "ECM type" BUEGC is not listed. Is there a compatible version?

Need to do some tuning after installation of a 1050 kit. Looks like my options for software are ECMspy, TunerproRT, or EBR. I have read posts that claim good and bad about all. What would be your preference for software? Any comments or tips would be appreciated.

Hammer1050, if your profile is correct you have a 2008 XB9. If that is the case, your best option is TunerPro RT. It is free, a pain in the ass to setup, but will let you change any parameter in the ECM for your tuning needs.

There are two versions of ECMspy, the old free version, and the newer paid one. The free one won't work on 08+ bikes so that is ruled out. The paid one works, but is not free, and doesn't let you change as much as TunerPro. Advantage to ECMspy is that it is easy to setup and use, TunerPro is a pain in the ass to setup and use, even for someone like me who has done it a dozen times.

EBR sells a fully programmable ECM with software, it works great from what I understand, it just has a substantial upfront cost.

Thanks Froggy for the prompt reply. My motor is fairly stock. Nothing radical, just need a program that will allow me to retard total ignition advance for the reworked heads and pistons that have raised compression, and of course a re-map of fuel delivery. Running Buell Pro-series exhaust. I do struggle with software programs, so the easier the better.
