I have a 2000 Buell X1 I purchased new with the factory race kit. This included the race header and race muffler. The race muffler has disintegrated, and I need a new replacement after market muffler. I do not want a Buell model. Can I get an aftermarket slipon that fits the race header? The race header has a left bend and proceeds to the rear of the bike where it has a straight connection to the muffler. The stock header is different in that the connection to the stock muffler is made before the bend is made. Meaning the stock mufflers and some slipons have the right bend of pipe exiting them instead of the race header containing the bend. Does someone know of a company that makes a slipon for the race header. thanks, | ||

SuperTrapp has universal stainless mufflers that you can buy from about any high performance retailer. The price is reasonable, they're about bulletproof, and are tunable. I like to play. Dave, your muff looks mean, dude. | ||

Rick, Thanks, me being a cheap ••••••• I could not see spending $300 on a muffler that I knew I would have to repack every 1000 miles or the D&D that is just plan loud. The 4 inch turn out is just for looks, the muffler has a 2 1/2 inch inlet and outlet. You could put a 2 1/2 inch turnout on it and it would look a little like a Daytona boss. | ||
