was torquing to spec in the manual. it stripped well before then. naturally i'm a month out of warranty, so not going to bother trying.

i see most people recommend time serts. can anyone recommend someone in portland with the kit who does them well?

and what's wrong with the oversized double drain plugs (which basically screw in new threads and then use a new, smaller plug inside it) like you can pick up at napa? it seems like that'd be a really easy solution similar to a time sert.
