most of my interaction here has been via my iphone. Not a lot of time to go thru threads, unfortunately.

My lean condition is a result of it being rich and trying to correct itself.

My bad injector is just that: bad. Because the problem moved when the injector did, I know this to be the case. I'm guessing it was leaking because it was falling apart internally (running rich) and finally failed (no more squirt).

Aside from valve train problems, and a new TPS, I've done almost all I can think to do.

New injectors have arrived!

New injectors + fresh gas + 35 miles = AFV of 81. Resetting AFV and unplugging O2.

Engine light came on on the way to work, presumably because the O2 was unplugged. It didn't come back on on the way home, though. I think I'll ride that way for a while, but will need to get a new TPS just to rule it out. THAT'S the part that really sux.

Apparently, the engine light only comes on in the morning. Go figure.

ok. So I put in the Race ECM, turned O2 off and closed loop idle off. Engine light came on during the ride to work. I assume that's the O2, but with it off, I shouldn't get a light, should I?

If I load the original EEEPROM, would that put the AFV and ECM CONFIG back the way I had it before I started any of this? I'd like to know what those settings were BEFORE I started messing around with ECMSpy.

"O2 inactive or open" fault. Silly to have the engine lite come on for turning off the O2 sensor. Running better: will set minimum AFV to 95 if I can and turn O2 back on, in case anybody is interested.

There isn't much left that you can change out!

I forgot: when loading an EEEPROM (.txt) file, does that include maps? Or is it just a new EEEPROM and the maps are retained?

EEPROM contains the maps, similar to how a turn signal contains a bulb. You can just change out the bulb, or you can change out the entire complete turn signal.

GREAT analogy. Thanks!
