Has anyone had any experience of running a V&H muffler with stock jetting and intake?

I'm thinking of doing this for a while, pending going for the full stage one tune, but am a little anxious whether the new muffler would upset the running of the engine. Any advice or comments gratefully received.

the reaons you'd want to rejet your scoot in it's stock form will only get bigger with the V&H (or other aftermarket can) -- the midrange hole will likely be a little bigger, and any propensity to rattle & bang will increase, as well . . . .

the jets are easy, no more than an afternoon's work, even for the complete unitiated -- lots of good how-to on this board, and over at American Thunder Bike

I'd usggest you come on over to the Entropy Lab some afternoon and we'd do it up for ya, but it's a little far from your house to mine

Thanks for the advice, Bomber. Looks like I might bite the bullet and get the jets now rather than later.

I'd love to drop by, but like you say, it's a bit of a long ride....
