I can't get the seat off of my 2010 Lightning, I can turn the key but it does not release the latch. I have tried hitting the seat, pulling it backwards etc. I can't even run the bike as the battery is dead and can't connect the tender.

Any suggestions on what to try next?

Key in, unlock.

Pull up on back of seat with one hand. Use your fingers to get under it and hold up off latch.

With other hand, start pushing/slapping your other hand in a backward motion until it pops off.
